Tom Bird is the founder and primary contributor to Gryphon Analytics and his areas professional emphasis include corporate development, capital raising and strategy.
Currently, Tom supports mergers and acquisitions, enterprise expansion and clinical finance for City of Hope National Medical Center, a leading Comprehensive Cancer Center designated by the National Cancer Institute.
Prior to, Tom served as a senior investment banker for multiple healthcare specialist investment banking firms where he supported a diverse portfolio of health service and life sciences clients. Previously, Tom focused on strategy and analytics as a part of a leading multinational health services provider. Tom conducted mergers and acquisitions on behalf of DaVita Healthcare Partners with a strategic focus on international platform investments with a specific emphasis on China and Latin America. Separately, as a member of DaVita's Nephrology Practice Solutions vertical, Tom provided strategic and transaction guidance for the development of a domestic physician practice platform via acquired and non-acquired growth.
Tom participated in the LEAD Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, is a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder and is a non-physician board certified Medical Practice Executive by The American College of Medical Practice Executives and MGMA.
Tom calls Southern California home and when not following his professional passion in healthcare and life sciences, strategic development, and technical innovation that drives improved patient outcomes, he enjoys his Manhattan Beach community with his wife and young energetic son.
